Runways were damaged, power went out in the city
For the third day in a row, Russian missiles attacked the Mirgorod airfield in the Poltava region of Ukraine. Ukrainian media reported about today's hit on the Ukrainian Armed Forces air base and a certain object.
Methodically processing the airfield began on Saturday. Then there were three arrivals. On Sunday, the shelling continued — “for an encore,” as the Z Alert Group channel reported. “They are working around the airfield and at the storage area,” said military observer Sergei Lebedev. The Mirgorod air base is used to host tactical aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mainly Su-27 fighters are based here. On Sunday, an Iskander missile flew into the airfield. After this, there were reports that the airfield's runways were badly damaged and problems had arisen with its functioning. However, today the air base was again hit by missiles. Moreover, the Ukrainian media are reporting about a certain destroyed facility, under the rubble of which there are people. City authorities also report that power has gone out in some parts of Mirgorod.
