ST. PETERSBURG, June 16, The driver of an Audi lost control and crashed into a bookstore building on Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg; none of the pedestrians were injured, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region reported.
The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon near house 44 on Nevsky Prospekt.
«According to preliminary data, the 50-year-old driver of the Audi lost control and crashed into the bookstore building due to deteriorating health. As a result of the accident, the driver was hospitalized in a moderate condition,» the report said.
It is noted that none of the pedestrians were injured.
The police are investigating the accident.
