
UFA, June 17Since childhood, a student from the Orenburg region dreamed of becoming a firefighter and, in order to see how they extinguish the fire, he set fire to barns, garages with cars and filmed the extinguishing process, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Orenburg region reported.
According to the police, law enforcement officers found the arsonist after a series of fires in the village of Sharlyk. Here, from May 26 to May 30, garages, a car, sheds and eight outbuildings burned down. 
«During operational search activities, police officers detained an 18-year-old student of an educational institution in the district, who confessed to his crime. At night, from 4 to 5 o'clock, he piled dry grass near the bottom of the fence and set it on fire with a lighter, which resulted in a fire,» the statement said.
As the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified, the student filmed the incident, including the work of the firefighters. According to the arsonist himself, since childhood he dreamed of becoming a firefighter and watched how the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees act when extinguishing fires.
In connection with the arson, a criminal case has been opened under the article of intentional destruction of property, the department concluded.
