On the night of June 17, Lipetsk was attacked by drones, Governor Igor Artamonov reported this in his Telegram channel.
According to him, four drones “were suppressed over the industrial territory of Lipetsk”, no one was injured.
Artamonov did not specify which enterprise he was talking about. Local residents, writes Astra, reported smoke above the tractor plant and an attack on the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant (NLMK). An air danger signal sounded in the city.
The last time Igor Artamonov wrote about a Ukrainian drone strike on “infrastructure in the industrial zone of Lipetsk” was on April 24. Then eyewitnesses also spoke about the attack on NLMK — there was no official confirmation of this. Astra claimed that the plant's oxygen station building was partially destroyed.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported in the morning that air defense systems shot down one Ukrainian drone in the Belgorod region, two in the Voronezh region, and three more in the Lipetsk region. According to the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, “there were no injuries or destruction.”
Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote that several settlements were attacked by drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces — Shebekino, the villages of Vyazovoe and Dronovka. According to Gladkov, a drone attacked an enterprise in Shebekino: “as a result of the explosion, the cabin of a truck was damaged.” No one was hurt, the head of the region added.
Sources of “Suspilne” and “Hromadske” in the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR) claim that drones attacked military targets in the Belgorod, Voronezh and Lipetsk regions. According to the publication’s interlocutor, targets included NLMK and the tractor plant in Lipetsk. Russia did not confirm this information.
