MOSCOW, June 15 Chairman of United Russia «Dmitry Medvedev appointed presidential envoy to the Ural Federal District Vladimir Yakushev to the position of acting secretary of the party's general council, the United Russia press service reported.

In accordance with the party charter, Yakushev will become secretary of the General Council after the congress and renewal of the governing body “ United Russia.»
At the beginning of June, President Vladimir Putin appointed Andrei Turchak as acting head of the Altai Republic. He has been secretary of the General Council of United Russia since 2017.
As Medvedev clarified, Turchak asked to be relieved of his post due to his appointment to a new position and preparations for the elections. The Chairman of United Russia called this a valid reason.

Vladimir Yakushev was born on June 14, 1968 in Neftekamsk (Republic of Bashkortostan).
