An activist of the Left Socialist Action movement from Kursk, Gagik Grigoryan, told in a letter from the pre-trial detention center the details of his case about the terrorist attack. It is retold by the human rights project “Zone of Solidarity.”
LevSD members reported the disappearance of 17-year-old eleventh-grader Grigoryan in October 2023. At the same time, he was included in Rosfinmonitoring's register as a defendant under terrorism charges. Details of the accusation were not disclosed.
A few months later, Grigoryan was probably transferred to Moscow. In the file of the Lefortovo District Court, despite the activist’s minority, there is a mention of the extension of the arrest of a person with the same last name and initials in January 2024; he is accused of committing a terrorist attack by a group of persons (clause “a” of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code).
Gagik Grigoryan is now in Moscow pre-trial detention center-5 — the only detention center in the city where minors are kept.
The activist said that in addition to the article about the terrorist attack, he is accused of possessing explosives (part 4 of the article 222.1 CC). The activist “is accused of preparing the liquidation of a lieutenant colonel of the Russian army,” retells his letter from the “Solidarity Zone” detention center.
The human rights project and representatives of LevSD suggest that his prosecution is “either an invention or some kind of provocation of law enforcement agencies.”
