KRASNODAR, June 18 The largest liquefied natural gas complex in the south of the country will appear in the Pavlovsky district of the Krasnodar Territory, said the regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev following a working trip to municipality.
“Another enterprise will appear in the region, which will provide jobs and funds for the budget. Natural gas as a fuel will help preserve the ecology of the region. Now the load on our road network is 12 times higher than the norm — in addition to residents of the region, tourists from all over the country come to us Due to this amount of exhaust gases, the damage to nature also increases, so it is necessary to switch to new fuel as much as possible,” the press service of the regional administration quotes Kondratyev as saying.

Company General Director Anton Tolstopyatov noted that the incoming liquefied natural gas will be cooled and stored in tanks. In this form, fuel can be filled into a car or transported over long distances. Its cost will be 30% lower than gasoline or diesel.
According to the authorities, the Krasnodar region is among the leaders in the Russian gas engine market. At the end of 2023, the region is in second place in the country in terms of natural gas consumption and in second place in the Southern Federal District in terms of the number of gas filling stations — there are 35 of them in Kuban.
