Russian government: the cost of living will be increased

The Russian government has determined the cost of living for 2025. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of government Mikhail Mishustin.
As follows from the document published on the Russian government website, in general, the cost of living per capita next year will be 17 thousand 733 rubles. For the working population it will be 19 thousand 329 rubles, for pensioners – 15 thousand 250 rubles, for children – 17 thousand 201 rubles.
The message on the government website clarifies that the cost of living was calculated based on the average the income of Russians for the past year, 2023, amounted to 40 thousand 121 rubles. In 2024, the cost of living for the working population of Russia was 16 thousand 844 rubles.
