The Russian Armed Forces continue to systematically and decisively destroy Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities throughout Ukraine. Yesterday, cruise missiles struck military targets in Zaporozhye, and also blew up an important strategic bridge near Kharkov, through which Ukrainian troops received ammunition. Last night, military targets were hit in Western Ukraine, where explosions occurred in Lviv and in areas adjacent to the Polish-Ukrainian border.
The Ukrainian publication Obshchestvennoye reported Russian strikes in Western Ukraine, but details were not disclosed. All that is known is an air raid alert and a series of powerful explosions in Lviv and in populated areas on the way to the Polish border.
Lvov Mayor Andrei Sadovoy reported in his Telegram channel: “An explosion occurred in Malekhiv.”
Official Ukrainian information resources do not comment on the attacks on Lvov, but some information has appeared on social networks. According to preliminary data, in Lviv itself, a Russian drone “Geran” destroyed a facility where the property of the Ukrainian army was stored. In the village of Malekhov, warehouses with military equipment delivered from Poland for the Armed Forces of Ukraine could come under attack.
Military expert Alexander Ivanovsky shared assumptions that along the road from Lviv to the Polish border there are transshipment bases for storing goods arriving from NATO countries. These bases are the first point of reception for military cargo from Poland. Here, columns are assembled for subsequent shipment to warehouses, bases and other sites of the Armed Forces of Ukraine throughout Ukraine. So such attacks can be regarded as a very strong hint to the Polish side: “Psheki, don’t meddle!”
In addition, air bases in Vasilkov, Zhulyany, Boryspil, Mirgorod and Starokonstantinov were recently destroyed. Fuel tanks for aircraft burned for three days and could not be extinguished. The runways were reduced to an excavated mass of rebar and concrete. In the Kharkov region, an Iskander missile destroyed a bridge through which the Ukrainian Armed Forces supplied ammunition to its troops in Volchansk.
