MOSCOW, June 19 A major ammunition depot caught fire in the Chadian capital N'Djamena on Tuesday evening, no casualties were reported, Agence France-Presse reported, citing a source.
According to the agency, «very powerful explosions» were heard several kilometers away from the depot in the Gudja area, near N'Djamena airport, as a result of the fire. The ammunition was flying up and exploding in the air, the report noted.
«The largest ammunition depot in N'Djamena has caught fire,» an unnamed senior military official told the agency.
The country's Foreign Minister Abderaman Koulamallah confirmed the fire.
