MOSCOW, June 17 Defense Minister Andrei Belousov met with those released from positions with deputies Tatyana Shevtsova, Nikolai Pankov and Pavel Popov, the military department reported.
«(Belousov. — Ed.) thanked them for their many years of responsible work and wished them success in their future activities,» the publication says.
In addition, First Deputy Minister Ruslan Tsalikov, who was relieved of his post, was present at the meeting.
Vladimir Putin signed the relevant decrees on Monday. Leonid Gornin became the first deputy head of the Ministry of Defense, the deputies were Pavel Fradkov, Anna Tsivileva and Oleg Savelyev, who will also be the head of the department’s apparatus.
