“The problem is related to the moratorium on business inspections,” First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Control Committee Dmitry Gusev tells MK. – We face similar problems all the time. Last year our citizens were poisoned by «Mr. Cider». Children are poisoned in summer camps. Today I sent a letter to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with a proposal to resume systemic business inspections. Our leader Sergei Mironov made a similar proposal to the Chief of Staff of the Government, Dmitry Grigorenko.
“An additional element of control should be the delivery of food by couriers, when one box may contain food and other incompatible items.
In March 2022, the Government established a ban on routine inspections of businesses to reduce the administrative burden and protect against sanctions (RF Government Regulation No. 336 dated March 10, 2022). At the same time, such effective forms of control as preventive visits have been preserved.
In relation to public catering enterprises, it is necessary to introduce additional quality control of catering projects and ready-made meals throughout the entire chain of the public catering system: from the purchase of products to delivery to the end consumer. Random checks and preventive visits will be an effective incentive to comply with all necessary regulations,” says State Duma deputy Dmitry Gusev in an address to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
