
MOSCOW, June 18 Fans of the national teams of Turkey and Georgia staged a massive a fight at a stadium in Dortmund, Germany, before a group stage match of the European Football Championship, reports journalist Tariq Panya.
Group F meeting should start at 19:00 Moscow time. An hour and a half before the starting whistle, a fight broke out between fans of the teams in one of the stands. As Panya notes, who published a video of the fight, the parties threw improvised objects at each other, and the first rows exchanged blows. Only after the police intervened did the fight stop. Law enforcement officers had to line up in a cordon between the two stands.
Earlier at Euro 2024, a fight broke out between fans of the England and Serbia national teams. English fans attacked a bar where fans of the Serbian national team were present. The clash ended after more than 200 law enforcement officers arrived on the scene. As a result of the brawl, an England fan received a serious head injury, seven Serbian fans were detained, and a criminal case was opened against one of them for causing grievous bodily harm.
