MOSCOW, June 17 Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin met with the acting head of the Altai Republic Andrei Turchak and discussed with him the prospects for the development of the region, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported in the official Telegram channel of the government.

The Altai Republic is one of the ten regions for which individual socio-economic development programs have been developed. For each of them, funding is allocated annually from the federal budget.
As Mishustin recalled, funds are allocated to solve specific problems — the construction of social, transport and engineering infrastructure. creation of new jobs, development of healthcare and education, improvement of the environmental situation.
According to Turchak, work to achieve the planned indicators of the individual program for the socio-economic development of the Altai Republic will continue.
«I have already begun trips to the regions , visiting enterprises and social facilities for a detailed study of the situation,” he noted.
Meeting participants also discussed the completion of the construction of a number of significant facilities, as provided for by the president’s instructions, the implementation of state programs and national projects.
