MOSCOW, June 18 Nvidia has become the most valuable company in the world, the capitalization of the American processor manufacturer has exceeded that of Microsoft, as follows from trading data.
As of 20.04 Moscow time, the price of Nvidia shares grew by 3.3%, to $135.41 per security, which became a new historical high. The company's capitalization at that moment was $3.328 trillion. Microsoft's market value at the same time was $3.322 trillion.
The top three most valuable companies in the world are Apple, whose capitalization was $3.281 trillion.
In February, Nvidia's market value exceeded two trillion dollars for the first time in the company's history; in early June, the figure exceeded the three trillion mark. Since the beginning of the year, the price of Nvidia shares has jumped 2.7 times.
GPU manufacturer Nvidia was founded in 1999. The company is also developing in the field of artificial intelligence. Headquarters are located in Santa Clara, California.
