The Blacktrail version for the Tank 500 frame SUV (the Tank brand is owned by Great Wall Motor) was announced in Russia last week. And now the local division of the brand has announced the price, dealers have begun accepting orders. It is also reported that from July the new equipment will be available for purchase online – in the GWM Store mobile application.

As you can easily guess from the name, the main external feature of the Tank 500 Blacktrail is black decor instead of chrome. The radiator grille (the grille, by the way, is from the Tank 500 Urban hybrid), bumper trims, window trim, spare wheel case and 19-inch wheels are made in this color. However, there is still a bright accent – red brake calipers. The new product is available with a five-seater cabin.

The Tank 500 Blacktrail is equipped with the same V6 3.0 biturbo petrol engine as the “500” in the Adventure and Premium versions, but for the “blackened” all-terrain vehicle the engine output was increased from 299 to 354 hp. (torque has not changed — 500 Nm). In addition, the Tank 500 Blacktrail received an additional fuel tank with a capacity of 53 liters (the main one is 80 liters), so that the new version can travel 1,100 km without refueling. All listed versions have a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. It is stated that the Tank 500 Blacktrail will reach the first “hundred” in 8.8 seconds, while the passport indicator of an SUV with a 299-horsepower engine is 9.6 seconds.
The Blacktrail equipment list is identical to the Premium version. It, in particular, includes electric side steps, ventilation and massage for all seats, and wireless charging for second-row passengers (built into the center armrest). All 500s by default have a virtual dashboard and multimedia system, heated seats, three-zone climate control, all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control, and a lane keeping system.
Tank price 500 Blacktrail – 7,699,000 rubles (hereinafter – excluding shares). Thus, the “black” SUV turned out to be the most expensive in the range: the remaining versions of the “500” produced in 2024 will cost 6,499,000 – 7,099,000 rubles.
