The electric top version of the Alfa Romeo Junior subcompact crossover is preparing for the final stage of testing before entering the market: the developers have concluded that The maximum output of the electric motor installed on the front axle can be increased, now it is an impressive 280 hp. and 345 Nm.
The world premiere of the junior crossover Alfa Romeo took place in April of this year, then it was called Milano, but after a scandal provoked by the Italian government and associated with the fact that the car was produced in Poland and not in Italy, the new product was renamed Junior.

At the moment, Junior is available in the low-voltage hybrid version Ibrida based on a 1.2-liter gasoline turbo engine (136 hp, front-wheel drive) and in the initial electric version Elettrica (156 hp, front-wheel drive), price in Germany — from 29,500 and from 39,500 euros, respectively. Later this year, the Junior range will be complemented by the all-wheel drive hybrid version of the Ibrida Q4 and the top-of-the-range electric version of the Elettrica Veloce, prices for which have not yet been announced.
The Elettrica Veloce version will be the most expensive and powerful in the range — it is a full-fledged sports crossover with large 20-inch wheels and a modified chassis: the ground clearance is reduced by 25 mm, the suspension uses stiffer anti-roll bars, and powerful disc brakes with a diameter of 380 are installed on the front axle mm with four-piston calipers, and the steering is one of the sharpest in the class, with a gear ratio of 14.6. The output of the only electric motor installed on the front axle at the time of the premiere was 240 hp. and 345 Nm, now the power has been increased to 280 hp. A Torsen limited-slip differential installed between the front wheels will help control traction.
