The current generation Hyundai Elantra four-door with the factory index CN7 debuted in 2020, and last year it underwent a full restyling. In the brand’s native Korea, where the sedan is called Avante, the model is now in the red: according to Hyundai itself, from January to May 2024, 22,517 units were sold (including the “evil” N-version), which is 27% less compared to the same period in 2023. Another modernization is designed to revive demand — however, this time it turned out to be quite modest.

The exterior of the Hyundai Elantra/Avante has not changed, except that the body color palette has been expanded with a mint shade. But there is an update in the interior: to the left of the dashboard, instead of the previous purely decorative glossy insert, a “magnetic board” has appeared. A small organizer or holder for cards and other small items can be attached to this panel. By the way, Hyundai noted that such an unusual solution was added after customer requests.

What else is new? The list of standard equipment now includes an interior mirror with electrochromic auto-dimming and a fire extinguisher, and the second-highest configuration has added air vents for rear passengers (previously only the richer versions had them).
All the equipment is the same. In Korea, the Hyundai Avante sedan is available with a 1.6 naturally aspirated petrol engine (123 hp) and a 1.6 LPi gas engine (120 hp), and a hybrid is also offered with an installation based on the 1.6 engine (total output — 141 hp). The regular four-door has a CVT, the gas engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, and the hybrid version has a six-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. At the top of the range is the “hot” N version with a 280-horsepower 2.0 turbo engine, which is combined with a 6MT or 8DCT.

The price of the Hyundai Avante 2025 model year starts at 19,940,000 won, which is equivalent to approximately 1.2 million rubles at the current exchange rate. There is no information yet about whether the global Elantra will also receive a “magnetic board”.
