In Kuzbass, a former participant in the war in Ukraine, recruited in a colony, was detained in the case of the murder of a 12-year-old girl

In the city of Topki, Kemerovo region, a man suspected of the brutal murder of a 12-year-old girl was detained. The press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, reported this on her Telegram channel.

According to the Investigative Committee, the schoolgirl left home on the morning of June 18. Her body was found on the afternoon of June 19 in a well.

The Mash Siberia Telegram channel, without citing a source, writes that the killer waylaid the girl on the afternoon of June 18 near the store. He grabbed her, dragged her to the forest, undressed her, tied her to a tree and “tried to satisfy himself by looking at her.” After that, the man strangled the schoolgirl with her own pants and left. The killer returned to the crime scene the next morning: he pierced the victim’s chest with a skewer and threw the body into a well.

A RIA Novosti source said the murder suspect was involved in the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The man was recruited to fight in the colony, he was in Ukrainian captivity and was exchanged.

According to the publications “Siberia. Realii», «Caution, News» and «Siberian Express», the name of the person detained on suspicion of murdering a girl is Andrei Bykov, he is 49 years old. His full namesake from Topki was convicted at least six times — in cases of theft, threat of murder< /span>, involving a minor in a crime and causing grievous bodily harm resulting in death. The last time, in the summer of 2018, the man was found guilty of murder of an elderly woman and sentenced to 13.5 years in a special regime penal colony.

As noted by the Siberian Express, Bykov was probably a member of the Storm Z unit, which the Ministry of Defense recruits prisoners for. The publication found a video from Ukrainian captivity with a man who introduced himself as Andrei Bykov. He said that he came to the front from Kemerovo colony No. 29.
