Lada Largus station wagons and vans returned to the Russian market

Cars, the production of which started in the middle of last month, have reached dealers. Prices for five-seater station wagons and a van are known.

Production of the Lada Largus at the Tolyatti AVTOVAZ plant was discontinued in the spring of 2022 due to a shortage of components. Later, the company's management decided to move the production of this model to a plant located in Izhevsk. The first production copies of the returning Largus rolled off this assembly line in mid-May of this year, and now the company has announced the start of sales.

So far, five-seater station wagons with two options for “filling” and a van with a “junior” engine have gone on sale. Starting versions are equipped with a 90-horsepower 1.6-liter eight-valve petrol engine. A 106-horsepower sixteen-valve engine of the same volume is also available for the station wagon. In both versions, only a five-speed manual transmission is offered.

The recommended retail price of the basic station wagon in the Classic version is 1,660,000 rubles, for the version with a more powerful engine they ask for at least 1,735,000 rubles. Buying a van, currently available only in the initial version, will cost at least 1,670,000 rubles. It should be noted that later the Lada Largus family will be replenished with seven-seater station wagons and an “elevated” version with the addition of Cross: their production will begin at the Izhevsk site this coming autumn.

The list of basic equipment includes ABS, air conditioning, power steering, electric windows for front and rear doors, central locking with remote control, and a driver airbag. The van also has cargo securing brackets and lighting in the cargo compartment. Optionally (for an additional charge of 45 thousand rubles) 15-inch alloy wheels and a split folding rear seat backrest are available.

Let us remind you that according to the manufacturer’s plan, by the end of this year, about 50 thousand copies will roll off the assembly line of the plant in Izhevsk. It is worth noting that the specified quantity also includes a completely “green” version, which was given its own name e-Largus. It is known that both vans and station wagons will be sold with such equipment. The price tag of this “train” will become known later. Earlier, the head of AVTOVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, noted that the cost would be comparable to non-localized Chinese electric vehicles. The start of sales of Lada e-Largus is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.

At the company's plant in Togliatti, the freed capacity of Line No. 1 will soon begin to be used for the production of other models of the brand. In the fall, it is planned to launch production of “official” Lada Aura sedans here, and at the beginning of 2026, a crossover based on Vesta will hit the assembly line (its name has not yet been officially announced).

At the beginning of this month, a new product debuted AVTOVAZ – Lada Iskra sedan. It was previously reported that this family will also include a station wagon and a “raised” station wagon with the addition of “Cross” to the name.
