
YAROSLAVL, June 19 Seventeen of the forty-seven new low-floor trams arrived in Yaroslavl as part of a concession agreement between the government of the Yaroslavl region and the Movista Regions Yaroslavl company, Governor Mikhail Evraev said.
“Seventeen of the 47 new low-floor trams have already arrived in Yaroslavl under a concession agreement. Ten more spacious new vehicles will arrive by the end of the year. We are expecting the final batch of 20 units in 2025. Our trams, domestic, from the Ust-Katav Carriage Plant,” wrote Evraev in your Telegram channel.
The governor emphasized that the new trams are equipped with climate control systems, digital displays, validators for cashless payments, connectors for charging gadgets, and are adapted for passengers with limited mobility. The driver's cabin is also equipped with multifunctional systems necessary for comfortable work. Nominal capacity – 119 people, maximum – 170 people. The carriage has 32 passenger seats and one conductor seat.
According to the government of the Yaroslavl region, carriages from the Ust-Katav Carriage Plant are already running in Yaroslavl. In the future, drivers and repair personnel will also be more comfortable working with equipment that is already familiar to them from previous experience, the regional government notes.
In addition, it is reported that as part of the government’s renewal of the region’s public transport, buses in Yaroslavl and the Yaroslavl region have been completely replaced, and almost half of the vehicle fleet in Rybinsk has been updated.
