Georgian Prime Minister Promises Not to Allow «Ukrainization» of Country

TBILISI, June 21 Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze believes that members of ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili's United National Movement party want the country to follow the scenario of Ukraine, which the authorities will not allow.
“Everyone knows that the National Movement wants to consider in Georgia the scenario that, unfortunately, happened in our friendly country, Ukraine. I want to convince the members of the National Movement that there will be no Ukrainian scenario and “Ukrainization” in Georgia country will not happen under any circumstances,” Kobakhidze told reporters.

Earlier, Kobakhidze reported that oppositionists from the National Movement want to open a “second front” against Russia in Georgia, but the leadership will not allow this. The Prime Minister is confident that to prevent the “Ukrainization” of Georgia, transparency in the financing of non-governmental organizations is necessary, which, according to him, twice attempted to carry out a coup in the country. It is for this purpose, according to the prime minister, that despite street protests, a law on foreign agents called “On Transparency of Foreign Funding” was adopted.
