MOSCOW, June 20. The key countries that will resolve the Ukrainian conflict will be Russia and the United States, said Kiev political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko on the YouTube channel “Yes, it is.”
“The head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen is not a player today in this war, the issue will be resolved diplomatically between Russia and the United States, perhaps taking into account the opinion of Great Britain,” the expert believes.
According to the political scientist, the most likely outcome of events in Ukraine will be the freezing of the conflict, since The West has no way to put pressure on Moscow.
Earlier, at a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Vladimir Putin said that in order to start negotiations, Ukraine must withdraw its troops from the entire territory of the new regions of Russia — the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
The Russian head of state noted that hostilities would cease immediately after Kyiv agrees to this condition. Also, according to the president, Kyiv must officially notify of its abandonment of plans to join NATO — Moscow needs a neutral, non-aligned, nuclear-free status for Ukraine for a peaceful settlement. Zelensky rejected this proposal, calling it an “ultimatum.”
