MOSCOW, June 20 Moscow region football club «Khimki», who returned to the Russian Premier League (RPL) at the end of the 2023/24 season, announced in his Telegram channel the departure of the team’s head coach Andrei Talalaev together with his staff.
Khimki terminated the contract with the coach by mutual agreement of the parties. On Thursday, Talalaev announced that he had left the post of head coach of the Moscow region club.
«Thank you for your cooperation and the results achieved! We wish you good luck in your future career!» — says the club's statement. Together with Talalaev, coaches Yuri Nagaitsev, Sergei Ryzhikov and Sergio Giovani, head of the selection department Andrei Talalaev Jr., analyst Anton Melnichenko, and massage therapist Marat Ishmurzin are leaving the club.
Talalaev is 51 years old. He has worked for Khimki since August 2023. Under his leadership, the Moscow region club entered the RPL, finishing the 2023/24 season in first place in the First League. Previously, the specialist headed Khimki from 2019 to 2020. In September 2022, he left Grozny's Akhmat, and in March 2023, Moscow's Torpedo. Before that, he worked in Samara “Wings of the Soviets”, Armenian “Pyunik”, “Tambov”, Nizhny Novgorod “Volga” and in the Russian youth team.
