MOSCOW, June 20 Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his greeting to the participants, organizers and guests of the II All-Russian Children's Folklore Festival, noted that one of the main State priorities remain a careful attitude to the unique historical, cultural, spiritual heritage of Russia; the corresponding telegram is posted on the Kremlin website.
«Caring for our unique historical, cultural, spiritual heritage is one of the key state priorities. Folk art preserves the connection between times and generations, fosters in a person love for the Motherland, respect for national traditions and customs. And therefore it is gratifying that your wonderful project has taken place and every year unites with its mission more and more talented children from different regions of the country, becoming a real holiday of friendship and creative communication for the young participants,” the greeting says.
The President also expressed confidence that songs “coming from the heart” and performances by folklore, dance and choral groups will not leave anyone indifferent and will be remembered by all artists and spectators.
