MOSCOW, June 21The Rostec State Corporation published on Friday a video of tests of a new universal combat robot on the Impulse-M tracked platform.
The robot was developed by the Gumich company with the participation of Rostec.
The one and a half minute video shows how the robot overcomes various obstacles, including driving through mud, logs and branches, and also crossing a water obstacle. In addition, the video shows the robot's ability to transport loads by climbing up at an angle.
As reported by Rostec, the Impulse-M can be equipped with various combat modules, including an anti-tank one equipped with missiles. Testing of the platform with anti-tank systems is planned for the near future.
The length of the robot is just over two meters. On a horizontal surface, the drone transports cargo weighing about a ton. At an elevation of 30 degrees, it is capable of lifting 500 kilograms of cargo, and on a trailer it can pull up to one and a half tons. The robot's tracked chassis is distinguished by high reliability and maintainability in field conditions. Thus, the robot can continue moving without several rollers.
