MOSCOW, June 20 Director Sarik Andreasyan announced that he will make a full-length film based on Leo Tolstoy’s novel “War and Peace”, filming will begin next year.
«The book that changed the world! What should a director make after the success of Onegin? Of course, War and Peace! A great movie corresponding to a great book! Let's start next year! Wish us luck!» — he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Earlier, Andreasyan’s “Onegin” was released in wide cinemas. The image of one of the main characters of Russian literature was embodied by Viktor Dobronravov. Tatyana was played by the director's wife Elizaveta Moryak. The role of the poet Vladimir Lensky went to Denis Prytkov, and Olga — to Tatyana Sabinova. The Larins' mother was played by Alena Khmelnitskaya. Olga Tumaikina, Alexander Yatsko and Svetlana Nemolyaeva in the role of nanny Tatyana also took part in the project. One of the key characters was the narrator who voices the poetic inserts in the film, played by Vladimir Vdovichenkov.
