MOSCOW, June 20 The international cultural forum will be held in St. Petersburg from September 12 to 14 and will be dedicated to the theme “Culture of the 21st century: sovereignty or globalism?», said the office of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova.
«As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, (X St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures — ed.) will be held in St. Petersburg from September 12 to 14, 2024 and will be dedicated to the topic “Culture of the 21st century: sovereignty or globalism?”, Golikova’s words are reported in the message.
According to her, the business program of the forum will include ten thematic areas: “How does art help people defend the right to history?”, “Artificial intelligence and national sovereignty”, “Cultural heritage: traditions and modernity”, “Business culture”, “ Media culture», «Cinema», «Theater», «Music», «Circus» and «Museums».
“On the third day of the forum, in the St. George Hall of the Winter Palace, a solemn ceremony of presenting the “Hermitage Prize”, established by the organizing committee of the forum together with the State Hermitage, will take place… Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Andrei Malyshev emphasized that within the framework of the anniversary forum of united cultures, events will be held dedicated to Russia’s chairmanship in the CIS and BRICS, a multilateral discussion on the prospects for international cultural cooperation is also planned,” the message clarified.
According to the staff, the main venues of the forum’s business program will be the main headquarters of the State Hermitage, the State Academic Chapel of St. Petersburg and the building of the Winter Palace. The cultural program events will take place at the Mikhailovsky and Mariinsky theaters, the Mikhailovsky Garden, the Marble Palace, the Ethnographic Museum and the Peterhof Museum-Reserve. 1.7 thousand people are planned to participate.
