MOSCOW, June 20 A group of militants preparing a terrorist attack on an oil refining infrastructure facility was destroyed in the area of the Faghdad oil refinery in Syria, said the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Arab Republic, General -Major Yuri Popov.
“Over the past 24 hours, using the Russian-made Forpost-R attack reconnaissance UAV in the Syrian desert in the area of the Faghdad oil refinery, a group of militants who were preparing a terrorist attack on the oil refining infrastructure of Syria was destroyed,” Popov said.
Popov also added that one Syrian soldier was killed as a result of sniper fire from terrorists from the Kafer Taala area at the position of a government forces unit in the area of the village of Urum es-Sughra, Aleppo province.
