The incident occurred in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The injured guy, Mujahid, said that he had an enemy, Omprakash, who did not let him live in peace for the last two years. Recently Mujahid had some health problems and for some reason Omprakash accompanied him to the hospital. There, the guy was given anesthesia without his knowledge and had a sex change operation.
«He brought me here, and the next morning I had an operation. When I regained consciousness, they told me that I had been turned from a boy into a girl,” said Mujahid.
After the operation, Omprakash said that Mujahid would have to live with him because his family would abandon him. Omprakash also threatened to kill Mujahid's father and take away his land. The pursuer threatened that he would “hire a lawyer and force Mujahid to marry him,” the publication notes.
The case caused a stir, social activists staged protests and accused doctors of abuse and organ trafficking. Mujahid's family contacted the police and demanded that everyone involved in the illegal operation be brought to justice.
