UFA, June 21 A resident of Ufa tried to steal a police car while law enforcement officers were separating two fighting guys, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Bashkiria reported.
«Last night, the police department No. 5 of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Ufa received a report of a fight between two young people in the courtyard of a house on Komarova Street. The patrol and guard service officers who arrived at the scene immediately left the service car and began to take measures to prevent the offense,» the press service said. 
While law enforcement officers separated the fighters, one of the men standing to the side, who had previously been indifferently watching what was happening, took advantage of the situation. He got into the driver's seat of the police car and attempted to escape. In doing so, he injured a law enforcement officer who tried to stop him, police said.
«The attacker was detained and taken to the police department. He turned out to be a 30-year-old local resident who had been previously convicted several times. The materials collected regarding the use of violence against a government official were sent to investigative bodies for further legal assessment authorities,» the department's press service reported.
