The incident occurred in the state of Maharashtra. Now the girl is 17, her husband is 23. The victim herself contacted the police, based on her statement, an investigation was launched.
The marriage was concluded in July 2022 with the consent of the girl’s father. The victim said that her uncle repeatedly raped her, as a result of which she became pregnant.
In addition to her husband, the victim’s 43-year-old father is also accused in the case.
