The compact crossover initially appeared with an all-electric “filling”, later versions with an internal combustion engine and a hybrid installation were added.
< p>The Jeep brand belongs to the multi-brand auto giant Stellantis; it presented its most compact model, the Avenger, in the fall of 2022 during the Paris Motor Show. The main sales market for the crossover is Europe: the cars reached “old-world” dealers at the beginning of last year. Now the manufacturer has spoken about the number of orders that this SUV has already collected.

According to the Stellantis press service, by mid-2024 the number of orders for the Jeep Avenger exceeded 100 thousand. It turns out that the model reached this mark in about a year and a half on the old-world market. The company also recalled that the Avenger was recognized as the European Car of the Year in 2023.
Let us remind you that the model initially debuted with a single 156-horsepower electric motor located on the front axle. A petrol version has also entered the market, which is equipped with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder PureTech turbo engine producing 100 hp. It is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. There is also an e-Hybrid option with the same 1.2 petrol engine, a 48-volt add-on and an electric motor. The listed versions can only have front-wheel drive.

The all-wheel drive version with a hybrid power plant and the addition of 4xe to the name debuted quite recently, in the second half of last month. Let us remember that its system is based on a 136-horsepower 1.2-liter turbo engine, working in tandem with a 48-volt electric booster and two electric motors, each with a power of 29 hp. (one on each axis).

This modification comes with a six-speed e-DCS6 dual-clutch automatic transmission. Note that the all-wheel drive system ensures a constant traction distribution of 50:50 at low speeds; above 90 km/h, the rear electric motor is completely switched off. The Jeep Avenger 4xe will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year.

The company suggests that the presence of an all-wheel drive option will further spur European interest in the compact crossover. Note that this Avenger in Sport driving mode takes 9.5 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h, and its top speed is 194 km/h. For comparison, the completely “green” version requires 0.5 seconds less for the same exercise, but its maximum speed is 150 km/h.

Recall that in one of the largest European markets, in Germany, a Jeep Avenger with a conventional gasoline engine can be bought for at least 25,300 euros (equivalent to about 2 .41 million rubles at the current exchange rate), the cost of the e-Hybrid option starts at 27,300 euros (about 2.6 million rubles), and for the all-electric modification they ask for at least 38,500 euros (about 3.67 million rubles). What the price tag of the all-wheel drive hybrid will be will be known later.
