MOSCOW, June 21 US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ) began an investigation after the Boeing 737 airliner landed at the Oklahoma City airport at a dangerously low altitude, ABC News reported.
“The US Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an incident in which a Southwest Airlines plane descended to a dangerously low altitude while approaching Oklahoma City Airport,” the TV channel reports.
The plane flew over a local school at an altitude of 190 meters, and at a certain moment descended over the city to only 160 meters, the TV channel refers to the FlightRadar24 service.
According to ABC News, an automatic alarm about a dangerously low flight altitude was sent 14 kilometers from the airport where the plane was supposed to land. The landing was successful.
Southwest Airlines said it is in contact with the FAA regarding the incident.
