FSB officers reported on the detention of a resident of the Novosibirsk region while trying to cross the border of the Belgorod region with Ukraine. Kommersant and TASS write about this with reference to a press release from the security forces.
As the FSB reported, a criminal case was opened against the detainee in April of this year — he is accused of preparing for treason (Article 275 with the application of Part 1 Article 30 of the Criminal Code) and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (Part 2 of Article 205.5 with the application of Part 1 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code).
According to the investigation, a man born in 1996, born in the city of Iskitim, Novosibirsk Region, planned to cross the border and join an organization that is participating in the war on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and is recognized as terrorist in Russia.
The name of the person involved in the case and other details of the prosecution are not given in the FSB press release. At the same time, 27-year-old Alexander Marchev, born in Iskitim, fits the description of the security forces. Information about him was included in the “list of extremists and terrorists” of Rosfinmonitoring on May 7 of this year. There is an asterisk next to the man's name — this means that a case has been filed against him, including under one of the terrorist articles.
