A criminal case was opened against three residents of the Rostov region for attempting to set fire to relay and battery cabinets on a railway. This was reported by the Western Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee on Transport.
An investigation into the case of an attempted terrorist attack by a group of people (clause “a” of Part 2 of Article 205 with the application of Part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code) is being conducted against three defendants — a young man born in 2005 and two minors born in 2008.
According to investigators, on June 20, for a reward, the defendants were supposed to open and set fire to battery cabinets at the Shakhtnaya-Gornaya station in the Rostov region. As the Investigative Committee writes, they received such an assignment from the “curator”.
The actions of the teenagers were stopped by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB. After this, the adult defendant in the case was detained — a preventive measure should be chosen for him in the near future.
