IVANOVO, 23 JuneThe continuation of the fairy-tale franchise “The Last Bogatyr” in the format of the series “The Last Bogatyr. Legacy” will be released in the Start online cinema this coming fall, director Anton Maslov said.
““This series is one of the largest and most ambitious in the history of online platforms… Literally this fall you will be able to see our series on the Start online platform,” he said in a video message at the presentation of the project as part of the forum’s business program «Pilot. Take-off points.» 
The Internet Development Institute (IRI), the Rossiya TV channel and the Yellow, Black and White studio also worked on the project.
The series will consist of 8 episodes, each of which will be a blockbuster. Viktor Khorinyak, Elena Yakovleva, Vladislav Vetrov and Kirill Zaitsev will return to their roles. In addition, the cast will be replenished with Yulia Peresild, Alexandra Ursulyak, Viktor Sukhorukov, Alexander Ustyugov, Arina Rozhkova, Evelina Mazurina, Dmitry Lysenkov, Oleg Chugunov and Nikita Kologrivy.
The project was filmed all over Russia: from location shooting in Kabardino-Balkaria to the Moscow region. Filming took 123 shifts and 6 months, and the production cycle was 4 years.
The series takes place 20 years after the events of the film «The Last Knight: Messenger of Darkness» and the plot includes Ivan's grown-up daughters.
The forum «Pilot. Takeoff Points» is held as part of the «Pilot» TV series festival, which takes place in Ivanovo from June 20 to 23.
