The prototype of the updated RS3 sports sedan recently updated the Nurburgring record, but for now we have imagined what it will look like without disguise.
The RS3 model appeared in the range of the German automaker in 2011. Initially, it was offered exclusively as a 5-door hatchback, but in the next generation (starting from 2016) a sedan was added to it. Today the third generation of RS3 is on the assembly line; the premiere of both body styles took place in the summer of 2021. Now Audi is preparing a restyled version for presentation, especially since the regular A3 has already received an update in March this year.

The latest new RS3 will feature new headlights and taillights with new graphics, as well as a logo positioned on the upper edge of the radiator grille. Of course, the car will retain noticeably widened wheel arches and air ducts in the front fenders, but the bumpers will be completely new. The front one will receive a wider, contrasting radiator grille frame, while the grille itself has an original finish with diamond-shaped bars. The rear bumper is interesting with a massive insert at the bottom, along the edges of which there are large oval exhaust pipes, traditional for Audi RS models. Above this insert there will probably be a decorative framing element in silver. In addition, the sports sedan is shown with new wheels, like the prototype: more precisely, the wheels are the same as on the current RS3, but the triangular segments around the valve are painted red.

In a press release dedicated to the new Nurburgring record, Audi announced that the updated sedan The RS3 will not become more powerful. It will be equipped with the same in-line petrol turbo-five EA855 evo with a displacement of 2.5 liters, and its output will be 400 hp. and 500 Nm of torque. At the same time, the reconfigured chassis allowed the car to become faster, which, coupled with all-wheel drive, helped Audi break the record of one of its main competitors — the BMW M2.

The premiere of the updated Audi RS3 will take place on August 20, and the car will go on sale in October.
