BALASHIKHA (Moscow region), June 25. Former investigator of the Investigative Committee Marat Tambiev did not admit his guilt in the case of receiving a record bribe of more than 2.7 thousand bitcoins, a correspondent reports from the hall of the Balashikha City Court of the Moscow Region.
“I do not recognize the charge as a categorical farm; I consider this charge offensive to myself personally,” Tambiev said.
Today the court began to consider the case on its merits. 
Ex-investigators of the Investigative Committee Tambiev and Kristina Lyakhovenko are charged with several episodes of bribery on an especially large scale, preparation to receive a bribe, as well as abuse of power and falsification of evidence. According to investigators, they extorted 2,718 bitcoins from hackers from the Infraud Organization group.
Major Tambiev, who headed the investigative department of the capital's main headquarters of the Investigative Committee for the Tverskoy district, was arrested in March 2022. According to the investigation, during the investigation of the Infraud Organization case, he extorted a bribe in cryptocurrency from the defendants and achieved his goal. Subsequently, the accused complained about him to the FSB, and the investigator was detained. The hackers received suspended sentences. The Nikulinsky court seized 1032.1 bitcoins from Tambiev.
Later Lyakhovenko was arrested.
