«Moscow Technical School» opened courses in robotics and sensors

MOSCOW, June 25. The educational project «Moscow Technical School» («MTS») together with the National Research University (NRU) «MPEI» has opened new courses within the framework of the module «Robotics and Sensing», said the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy (DIPP) Vladislav Ovchinsky.
“The use of robots is relevant today in many sectors of the economy, in particular in industry, transport and logistics. Automation makes it possible to increase the efficiency of work processes and significantly reduce the influence of the human factor. The development of professional competencies of employees is one of the key conditions for industry growth, therefore, from 2022, Moscow «Technical school» offers educational programs to the capital's engineers within the framework of the «Robotics and Sensing» direction,» Ovchinsky's press service quotes the DIPP press service. » media-type=»ar16x9″ data-crop-ratio=»0.5625″ data-crop-width=»600″ data-crop-height=»338″ data-source-sid=»not_rian_photo» class=»lazyload» width =»1920″ height=»1080″ decoding=»async» />
He noted that the module is dynamically developing and expanding — two new courses have recently been launched. Now the project portfolio includes 17 various programs that are aimed at training specialists in the field of development, creation of automated and sensor systems, as well as methods for managing them.
For example, the full-time course “Ethical Assurance of Research with Human Subjects for Instrument and Technology Developers” is aimed at developing professional competencies among engineers in assessing the status of scientific projects and preparing methodological and documentary solutions for non-clinical observations with the participation of volunteers. The course is designed for 16 academic hours.
Professor of the Department of Robotics, Mechatronics, Dynamics and Strength of Machines at the National Research University «MPEI», Doctor of Biological Sciences Oleg Kubriak noted that the training course was prepared specifically for those who invent and design new technical solutions.< br />Kubriak explained that the course consists of three modules, each of which contains three compact lectures. The course will help you better assess the status of scientific projects and prepare methodological and documentary solutions for non-clinical observations involving apparently healthy volunteers. Its brevity combined with a clear structure will help better assimilation of information.

The full-time distance program «Navigation and control of mobile robots in urban environments» is aimed at creating safe, efficient and smart transport systems for the urban environment. This course offers a comprehensive approach to the study of wheeled robots and offers training experience on a real training ground. The program is designed for 32 academic hours.
First category engineer of the Department of Radio Engineering Systems, head of the Roboveynik platform of the National Research University «MPEI» Oleg Glukhov said that the course opens a new page in the history of the development of urban intelligent transport systems. A special platform not only provides the conditions for the practical implementation of multi-agent interaction between robot cars, but also makes it possible to immerse yourself in the real process of designing future urban transport.
Earlier, the capital's mayor Sergei Sobyanin noted that new engineering personnel are needed to introduce modern technologies in production. To help industry solve the issue of employee shortages, in 2021 the capital’s government, together with leading technical universities and companies, created the Moscow Technical School project. It will help improve the skills of engineers in working with innovative technologies that develop the industrial potential of Moscow.
Currently, the project provides high-quality educational infrastructure. Nine general directions and four special ones are open for employees of enterprises. There are about 160 courses available to them. Participants are also offered webinars, conferences, master classes and other events. Since the launch, more than 2.2 thousand engineers have been trained.
