MOSCOW, June 24 The Commission of the Public Chamber of Russia on Interethnic, Interreligious Relations and Migration condemned the terrorist attack in Dagestan, where 20 people were killed, and regarded it as a clear attempt to sow interethnic and interreligious strife in the region.
On Sunday, in Derbent and Makhachkala, armed militants attacked two Orthodox churches, two synagogues and a traffic police post; criminal cases of terrorist attacks were opened. According to the latest data, 20 people became victims of the attacks, and the number of victims increased to 46. In the region, June 24, 25 and 26 have been declared days of mourning. Security forces killed five militants involved in these terrorist attacks, their identities have been established. 
“The Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on interethnic, interreligious relations and migration condemns this inhumane terrorist act and regards it as a clear attempt to sow interethnic and interreligious discord in Dagestan, one of the most multi-ethnic subjects of the Russian Federation,” the OP published in the Telegram channel reports. It is noted that the Russian Association for the Defense of Religious Freedom, leaders and representatives of traditional religious denominations and experts in the field of state-confessional relations, members of the RARS council, are confident that external hostile forces intended to destabilize the situation within our country, discrediting the honor of the peoples of Dagestan and values of Islam, presenting Muslims of the Caucasus as individuals seeking to commit terrible crimes. 
«We encourage maintain unity and not succumb to possible provocative statements aimed at inciting hatred against representatives of certain nationalities or religious movements, in a tense situation, such actions are unacceptable and can lead to further deep social upheavals,” the message says.
The public palate is convinced that Russian law enforcement agencies will reveal the real initiators of this crime, and the Russian people will unite even more to fight the common enemy.
