MOSCOW, June 25 Fans unfurled the Russian flag on the ice tribune arena in Sunrise (USA, Florida) during the celebration of the victory of the Florida Panthers in the final playoff series of the National Hockey League (NHL).
On Tuesday night, Moscow time, Florida beat the Edmonton Oilers in the seventh game of the final series (4-3) and became the NHL champion for the first time in franchise history. The Panthers have three Russian players: goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky, defender Dmitry Kulikov and forward Vladimir Tarasenko.
The Championship publication on the VKontakte social network published a video that shows fans raising the Russian flag as Bobrovsky drives past them and thanks them for their support.
Tarasenko won the second Stanley Cup in his career, Bobrovsky and Kulikov won the trophy for the first time.
