MOSCOW, June 25 The issue of increasing labor productivity in Russia should be solved using artificial intelligence, robotization, data economics, and lean manufacturing principles, believes Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
Speaking on Tuesday at a strategic session on national projects, he noted that to implement the national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy” it is proposed to form five federal projects. 
«The first project is project on labor productivity. I put it in first place because I believe that it is key. In addition to the proven mechanisms for increasing productivity at enterprises in the real sector, there is a fundamentally new task — increasing labor productivity also in the social sphere,” Novak said.
“In general, increasing the efficiency of activities is a task for all sectors of the economy. And the social sphere, and government bodies, the budgetary sector, infrastructure projects. It should be solved using artificial intelligence, robotization, data economics, lean manufacturing principles. It is also proposed to provide indicators for measures on labor productivity in every national project and state programs,” he added.
The second federal project, according to him, will be dedicated to investments, it will concentrate a wide range of support measures. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, further development and expansion of the Project Finance Factory is necessary, as well as the launch of a federal investment tax deduction mechanism. 
«The third federal project — These are small and medium-sized businesses. Here I would like to draw attention to the need to maintain effective measures to support the sector, including the continuation of the preferential lending program with an emphasis on priority sectors and investment projects. It is also important to develop the mechanisms of the umbrella guarantee of the SME Corporation and maintain the infrastructure for supporting small businesses. regions,» the Deputy Prime Minister said.
The fourth project will be devoted to low-carbon development, another — the fifth — to the development of a system of state statistics and forecasting. “We consider it important to have such a project, since without modern official statistics based on digital technologies and a wide range of data, it is impossible to manage socio-economic development. It is necessary to ensure the acceleration of statistical production using new technological solutions using advanced methodologies and artificial intelligence,” Novak concluded .
