MOSCOW, June 26 The Tagansky Court of Moscow arrested the former top manager of Volvo, Swedish businessman Eric Eberhardson, in absentia, the court reported.
“The request of the preliminary investigation authorities to select a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to a native and citizen of the Kingdom of Sweden Eberhardson Lars Erik Ebbe for a period of 2 months was granted,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
He is accused under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale). Eberhardson is on the international wanted list.
Erik Eberhardson was the Chairman of the Board of the GAZ Group in 2006-2007.
