“I think that we will begin to be afraid a little less when we get good statistics that people drive cars controlled by artificial intelligence and do not get into accidents. But now, it seems to me that our technologies are not yet capable of providing these statistics,” he said Maksimov.
At the same time, he admitted that he himself would not trust his life to an unmanned vehicle with the current level of development of unmanned technology.
In addition, according to Maksimov, companies are not ready to test their developments for readiness to be hacked by hackers, because an accident or hacking of the system will cause irreparable damage that will affect the business.
«Could they be made more ready to be hacked by hackers? It could be. But it goes against the spirit of business. And there is an internal conflict that we need to overcome. And those people who are behind such technologies, they should think about this and remember. But I observe another trend. At least, our cybersecurity companies, which even offered to test these automotive technologies on a non-commercial basis for the possibility of causing a remote accident or simply hacking, were usually refused,” — the expert added.
