MOSCOW, June 27 An explosion occurred at a power facility in Kyiv and a fire started, said the mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klitschko.
“An explosion and fire occurred at an energy facility in the Shevchenko district of the capital. All services are being sent to the site,” he wrote in Telegram.
Later, Klitschko clarified that a fire had occurred at one of the transformer substations after a short circuit, the fire was localized.
According to Ukrainian media, another explosion was recorded in Kyiv last night.
In response to attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on civilian targets, Russian troops regularly carry out targeted attacks on the locations of personnel, equipment and mercenaries, as well as on infrastructure: energy facilities, defense industry, military administration and communications of Ukraine.
At the same time, the press -Presidential Secretary Dmitry Peskov has repeatedly emphasized that the army does not attack residential buildings and social institutions.
