MOSCOW, June 27 The Republic of the Congo is interested in joint projects with Russian companies from hydropower, solar and nuclear energy, President Denis said in an interview Sassou Nguesso.
«This morning we held negotiations with Russian companies that are interested in implementing these projects. This concerns the production of electricity. There are huge opportunities for hydropower, solar energy opportunities and civil nuclear energy opportunities. We are negotiating with Russian companies on these issues,» Sassu said -Nguesso. 
He also added that during his visit he agreed on specific projects with Russian energy companies.
During a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2023, the President of the Republic of Congo reported that a Russian company in the field of nuclear energy and electricity was already operating in the country. With the help of this company, it was planned to build 36 different facilities and substations.
