MOSCOW, June 27 Acting Mayor of Lipetsk Roman Chentsov unanimously elected mayor of the city, the government of the Lipetsk region reported.
«Roman Chentsov became the mayor of Lipetsk. The City Council chose him unanimously — 34 votes out of 34,» reports the government's Telegram channel.
Chentsov has been acting head of the city since June 20 Lipetsk. Before that, he was the head of the Lebedyansky district of the Lipetsk region. His predecessor Evgenia Uvarkina was the mayor of Lipetsk for 5 years. Governor Igor Artamonov at the beginning of June invited her to become his deputy and oversee the project office for national projects. According to the governor, Uvarkina’s main task in her new position will be to attract federal resources to implement the president’s instructions.
