LUGANSK, June 26 The head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik wrote in his Telegram channel that presented the candidacy of the mayor of Miass of the Chelyabinsk region Yegor Kovalchuk for the post of chairman of the government of the Republic, Sergei Kozlov, who previously held this position, will continue to work in the region in a new capacity.
«He presented a candidacy for the post of Chairman of the Government of the Lugansk People's Republic — Egor Viktorovich Kovalchuk. He managed to establish himself as an experienced manager and a strong business executive. <…> All his life Egor Viktorovich was involved in issues of housing and communal services, energy and industry — in his native Chelyabinsk region, in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation. Currently he holds the position of Head of the city of Miass,” Pasechnik wrote.
It is clarified that until the approval of the new Chairman of the Government of the LPR, First Deputy Yuri Govtvin will perform his duties.
«Sergei Kozlov, who held the position of Chairman of the Government during the most difficult years of confrontation with the Kyiv regime, will continue to work on the development of the region in a new capacity. Sergei Ivanovich has been nominated for the award,» Pasechnik noted.
