Trade turnover between Russia and India reached record levels

MOSCOW , June 27Trade turnover between Russia and India in the first four months of the year increased by ten percent — to a record 23.1 billion dollars, calculated based on data from Indian customs.
In January-April, India's imports of Russian products increased by ten percent — to $21.6 billion. Russia was India's second-largest supplier of goods, ahead only of China with $32.6 billion in supplies.
Indian goods exports increased by 21 percent to $1.6 billion. This sharp increase allowed Russia to rise from 33rd to 29th place among recipients of products from India. The top 5 major importers of Indian goods include the United States ($27.4 billion), UAE ($13.4 billion), the Netherlands ($9.2 billion), Singapore ($7 billion) and China ($6 billion).

As a result, trade between Russia and India increased to $23.1 billion, up from $21 billion in the first four months of last year, and Russia remains the South Asian country's fourth trading partner.
